Every year over 1.7 million people experience a TBI, which can result in cognitive, physical, or emotional symptoms. The impact of these symptoms can be lessened with appropriate treatment.

TBI has been called the “signature” injury of service members serving in war. Service members receiving problem-solving training in the CONTACT study had fewer symptoms post-treatment.

Telecommunication technologies, such as phones and computer video conferencing, provide an individual access to specialty health care providers.
